Wedding Rehearsal Dinner
In addition to Chateau Noel’s elegant Estate Weddings and Stonepine Equestrian’s Carmel Valley Country Weddings, smaller celebrations can be managed at the Briar Rose Cottage fronting its fragrant Rose & Fruit Garden, or on the manicured lawns of the Hermes House placed on a bluff overlooking a four furlong Racetrack below. The Stanton Rose Garden adjacent to the Chateau Noel Loggia has hosted numerous 35-50 person Nuptials followed by intimate receptions in the Living Room, and formal dinners in the Main Dining Room.
The Rehearsal Dinner preceding the Wedding Ceremony provides a special opportunity for the Stonepine Staff to display its creativity. A Western Bar-B-Que at the Equestrian Stables can begin with cocktails and checkered table cloths, guitar and Peddler entertainment at the Blacksmith Bar, followed by a Buffet Dinner at the Carriage House, and culminating with “line dancing” and general revelry in the “Loft.” Hay wagons and Horse drawn surreys add to the evening’s atmosphere.
For those wanting their Wedding Celebration to be more of a “Gatsbyesque” Experience, the Croquet Lawn fronting Chateau Noel’s Garden Green House provides the perfect Sunday Brunch Wedding Send Off. A mini golf tournament at the Chateau’s four- hole practice course can be complimented with Vis-a-vis Carriage rides throughout the grounds. A String Quartet or a Dixieland Band can supply the musical backdrop with Champagne flowing, and Bloody Marys and Mint Julips passed on silver trays.
The Rehearsal Dinner is a North American wedding tradition. Stonepine has played host to these great wedding traditions since its creation in the 1920’s. The evening can start with a margarita at the blacksmith’s bar, while family and friends enjoy a hay wagon ride. Your guests can than sit down for a white table clothe barbeque with a live country music band. The night can conclude with a trip to “the loft,” where your guests can enjoy more live music, desserts and after dinner drinks while playing parlor games.
